Voting Question: How often does a model get work?

I am 16 year old male and wanted to become a fashion model. I wanted to know how much they get paid and did some research. Well many websites and posts said you can get paid from $4,000-$5,000 to $10,000 a shoot or $150/hr. a shoot and that IS a lot of money, (and I know not all models get paid that much I'm not stupid), but if it ever did come to that, how often would I work?? I mean yeah getting paid $10,000 in one day is all fine and dandy, but if I only worked 4 times a year, that isn't that great. And I know chances are I'm not going to be the next $40,000,000 model like you know Heidi Klum, but this is just something I really enjoy doing and would like to honestly make a career out of.
